My new favorite reel ?? smooth, controlled, and hard to backlash

This one has quickly become my favorite reel in the lineup. The retrieve is incredibly smooth, and it's honestly tough to make it backlash. I even tried forcing it just to see how bad it could get, and even then, it was super easy to fix.

Between the lightweight frame, the strong 11 lb drag, and the braking system, it just feels controlled and predictable on every cast. The metal drag alarm is a nice bonus too.

Definitely staying at the top of my rotation.

I had been waiting for this reel, and it finally arrived. I spooled it with 17 lb fluoro and took it out for a couple of days of testing. I pushed the braking system harder than I normally would, just to see what it could handle.

On the very first cast, I launched it as far as I could. The distance and smoothness were much better than expected. I also tested the DC braking by not feathering the spool at all, and it handled it without any issues. Even with lighter baits, the reel performed really well.

It's not flawless, but it's definitely better than I hoped for. Fluoro can be tricky because of line memory, but the reel worked fine as long as the spool was packed tight, so that part was on me. I'm looking forward to using it more, especially for pitching and flipping. Overall, I would recommend it.

This reel feels solid and strong, and it definitely has enough power to handle some pretty big fish. I'm still getting used to this style of reel, so stringing it up has been a challenge for me. Every time I cast, the line keeps tangling.

If you're already familiar with baitcasters, this is a very good and well-built reel. I just need more practice, and once I get the hang of it, I'm sure it will perform even better.

Took this reel surf fishing many times and it is still as smooth as day one. I'm careful when setting down on beach, but it's gotten splashed a few times and still works great. Excellent value for sure!
