I picked this up for surf use and the line comes off the spool nicely on longer casts. It feels stronger than cheaper reels I have used, especially when there is some load on it.

Been fishing this reel in both saltwater and freshwater, and it has honestly been a great experience. Right out of the box it feels solid and well built, with that confidence-inspiring full metal construction you want for longer casts and tougher fish.
