The reel feels solid and seems well-built for the price. Casting distance is decent and the retrieve is fairly smooth once you get used to it. I've taken it out a couple of times and it performs fine for general fishing.
That said, it's not perfect. It has a bit more weight than I expected, and the drag takes a moment to dial in exactly where I want it. Nothing major, just small things that stood out. Overall, it's a reasonable reel for the money - not amazing, but not bad either.

I paired the GL2800 with a 7 ft medium Rapala rod and it turned out to be an awesome setup. Smooth casting, strong drag, and the reel handled multiple pike last season without any issues.
Really excited to take it back out again. Great value for the price.

あらかじめ強度のある PE ラインが巻かれているので、到着後すぐに使える点がとても助かりました。
旅行直前の注文でしたが、すぐ使える状態だったのは本当にありがたいです。

The reel works really well and feels smooth and solid during use. It's just a bit bigger than I expected, but overall the performance is great. If you're looking for a reliable reel with strong build quality, this one definitely gets the job done.

These reels are a hidden gem! I absolutely love mine! Works as good, looks as good, so far holding up as good as my reels costing 2x as much as it did! Everyone who has tried it thought it was great and cost me a lot of money lol. I've caught numerous species of fish on it Rainbow and Brook Trout, white and yellow perch, smallmouth bass, various species of panfish, and some really nice 4-8lb channel and white catfish.Drag is nice. Castability is fantastic with it using 8lb P-Line. Reeling is smooth be it using lures or retrieving hooked fish! I couldn't he happier, in fact I just ordered the smaller version to replace my worn out ultralight reel.
