I've had this baitcaster out on a few trips now and it has been very easy to fish with. Casting feels controlled, the drag stays smooth, and it sits nicely on the rod in hand. It is not overly flashy, but it does exactly what I need and feels reliable every time I use it.
Glad to hear it handled those conditions well. We appreciate the review.
Got the X6 version and it has been surprisingly easy to set up. It casts light lures cleanly, starts up fast, and I have had way fewer backlash issues than I expected from a BFS reel.
Really glad to hear the X6 felt easy to dial in. That quick spool start and cleaner control with lighter lures is exactly what we wanted from this setup.
Smooth casting and very stable once dialed in. Slightly heavier than my lightest reel but feels planted and solid under load. After several trips in different conditions, including wind and current, it has continued to perform consistently. Line lay remains clean and I have not experienced unexpected drag surges or mechanical noise. It feels like a reel that was built with long-term use in mind rather than short-term flash.
Glad to hear it feels stable under load. The added structure is intentional for durability.
Out of the box this baitcaster is nice and. I got it spooled up and did the initial adjustments then did the first throw and no birdsnest. Super easy to use. Don't get me wrong you can get it to birds nest like any other baitcaster but generally it only happens when I have a miss-cast. I prefer this over my costlier baitcaster. It is easy to adjust and has some pretty solid drag.
I have the ReelUp HS X6 Elite Baitcaster on a medium rod and it has been a blast so far. Super easy to dial in the brakes and tension, and once it is set it launches baits with very little effort. Casts everything from 3/8 to 1 oz without a fuss and the spool starts up quickly with no weird noises or grinding.
The drag feels strong and consistent and the handle has a nice solid feel with no wobble. Overall it is a smooth, compact reel that fishes way above its price tag. I am honestly impressed and would not hesitate to buy another one.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this review of your HS X6 Elite Baitcaster. We are glad to hear it was easy to dial in and is casting smoothly for you.
