This one definitely feels a step up from entry-level reels. The frame feels rigid, the handle is solid, and it gives a more refined feel on the retrieve than I expected.
That means a lot to hear. We wanted this model to feel like a real upgrade in hand, especially in frame rigidity and overall retrieve quality.

Premium feel with tight tolerances and excellent line lay. Expensive but quality shows. After several trips in different conditions, including wind and current, it has continued to perform consistently. Line lay remains clean and I have not experienced unexpected drag surges or mechanical noise. It feels like a reel that was built with long-term use in mind rather than short-term flash.

I went with the 2000 size since this is clearly a higher-end reel, and I wanted something refined rather than oversized. First thing I noticed was the balance , it feels solid but not bulky, and the magnesium body really keeps the weight in check. On the water, the smoothness is obvious. The retrieve feels tight and controlled, not loose or over-spinning, and the drag engages very cleanly with no hesitation.
I've used plenty of Daiwa and Shimano reels in this size range, and this one honestly holds its own in terms of build quality and performance. Line lay is excellent, casting feels effortless, and everything just feels well thought out. Expensive? Yes. But you can feel where the money went. If you're looking for a premium reel that actually fishes like one, this is it.

Absolute unit of a reel. Very loud clicker, super strong drag. Audible spool and star drag. Very easy to adjust. Some people are hesitant to try nwe brand products because of the price but I have bought multiple products and have not had one bad experience with them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
