This has been a good all-around spinning reel for pond and light inshore use. The handle feels solid, the spool runs smoothly, and it has been easy to fish for longer sessions.
Thanks, Owen. We built the LT series to be an easy everyday option, so it is great to hear it has worked well in both freshwater and light saltwater use.
I've only had this reel out on a couple of trips, but first impressions are good. It casts clean, feels comfortable on the rod, and has been easy to use from the start. For general fishing, it has done exactly what I hoped it would.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad the reel is working well for you on the water.
Smooth line lay and dependable drag. Slightly heavier than premium brands but sturdy and reliable.
Durability is a priority for this series. Appreciate the balanced feedback.
I've been using the ReelUp LT Series spinning reel for both freshwater and light inshore saltwater trips, and overall it's been a solid performer. The CNC metal spool and rocker arm give it a sturdy feel, and the retrieve is smooth and reliable on a variety of lures and conditions.
The only thing keeping me from five stars is that I had to spend a bit of time dialing in the drag and line setup to get the smoothest cast possible. Once it's tuned, though, it casts well and feels balanced on my rod. For the price, this is a dependable reel that will cover most everyday fishing needs.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on the LT Series spinning reel! We're glad to hear it has been a reliable performer for both freshwater and light saltwater use.
The CNC metal spool and rocker arm are designed for durability and consistent action, and it's great to know you're feeling that in your casts and retrieves. Your point about dialing in drag and line setup is very helpful - making sure those are tuned to your rod and lure weight can make a big difference in smooth performance. If you ever need suggestions on line choice or setup tips, feel free to reach out anytime.
Thanks again for choosing ReelUp, and tight lines on your next trip!
As a self proclaimed "reel geek" I was hesitant to purchase one of these reels even after the outstanding reviews and specs. I decided to give it a shot and WOW am I impressed!!! Really solid feeling, smooth, great drag and the line lay is awesome!! I have the 3000 size and have caught many 35+ inch snook!! DEFINITELY recommend if you don't mind a reel on the heavier side compared to Daiwa and Shimano. I have it spooled with 15lb j-braid grand and put it on a tsunami Forged inshore rod for a perfect match!!!
Thank you so much for this awesome review coming from a self-proclaimed -reel geek- it means even more to us.
We're really happy to hear the LT 3000 feels solid in hand, runs smooth, and that the drag and line lay are doing their job on those 35'+ snook. That is exactly the kind of real-world test we design these reels for.
You're absolutely right that the LT sits a little heavier than some Daiwa and Shimano models in the same size, and we really appreciate you calling that out in a fair way. The extra weight comes from the metal components and build focus, and it's great to know it still feels like a -perfect match-on your 15 lb J-Braid Grand and Tsunami Forged inshore combo.
Thanks again for taking a chance on ReelUp and for recommending it to others, we really appreciate your trust and feedback. Tight lines and we hope the LT keeps bending that rod on many more big snook!
